Joslyn and C'al start fighting, then before we know it, K'laarn and Telinda
have joined in!

January 13 1999, Logged by Telinda

In the Weyrhall> C'al emerges through the archway leading to the Weyrfolk residences.

In the Weyrhall> C'al waves cheerily to Nerian and moves to get some dinner. He takes a seat and starts munching.

In the Weyrhall> Off by the nighthearth, a Harper posted to Island River Hold looks up curiously at Nerian for a moment, frowning as they try to recognize them, then shrugs and goes back to what they were doing.

In the Weyrhall> Joslyn walks over from the Landing Field.

In the Weyrhall> C'al is sitting at a table, munching on dinner.

In the Weyrhall> Joslyn strides in, with a purpose. "You!" and she pokes a finger in C'al's general direction, frowning for all she's worth. "How can you eat atta time like this?" she proceeds to demand, hands squarely on her hips as she kicks the leg of his chair with one heavily booted foot.

In the Weyrhall> Shadara walks over from the Landing Field.

In the Weyrhall> C'al blinks and looks up, "What? It's dinnertime."

In the Weyrhall> Lily strides over from the Landing Field.

In the Weyrhall> "No! It's time for you to explain!" Joslyn adds another kick to the same chair leg for good measure, successfully wounding her toe that she hops around a time or two, favoring it nicely. "An'don't try and pass it off as Simath's fault, neither!" with a threatening shake of her fist.

In the Weyrhall> C'al says "Oh, that. Of course I won't pass it off as Simath's fault. It's not a fault. He is, however, the cause."

In the Weyrhall> Lily comes in looking quite pleased with herself - something of the cat who caught the canary. She's smiling, on her way to the klah, when she sees Joslyn. She changes her course to steer clear of the two, grabs her klah, then finds a seat.

In the Weyrhall> Marila walks over from the Landing Field.

In the Weyrhall> Marila wanders in heading for the food. There is dirt on most of her person.

In the Weyrhall> Shadara uh ohs as she looks over at Joslyn and then at C'al before she moves over to get some juice and some dinner, "Arguing about a flight is silly Joslyn." she says as she settles down with her meal and drink, though she is a fair distance from the pair.

In the Weyrhall> C'al glances at Shadara, "I can handle this." He looks back to Joslyn, looking entirely unapologetic.

In the Weyrhall> N'all walks over from the Landing Field.

In the Weyrhall> Joslyn repeats, her tone as derisive as she's capable of pitching it, "Oh, /that/." And then she frowns at Shadara, momentarily, before her sour expression is resettled on the bronzerider. "I turn my back for one moment and what happens? C'al's in someone else's arms. Again." And, great, N'all's here, too.

In the Weyrhall> Haven strides over from the Landing Field.

In the Weyrhall> Haven strides in, making her way to the klah pot with undue haste.

In the Weyrhall> N'all walks in, obviously fresh from his evening exercise, he smiles as Haven happens to walk in with him, "Heyla."

In the Weyrhall> Haven smiles "Not sweating much, N'all. Musta only done what, 10 klicks tonight on your jog?"

In the Weyrhall> Shadara nods and grins at C'al, "I know you can, but it's still silly, she wouldn't expect you to have a fit if a dragon besides Simath catches Jeuneth, so she shouldn't be mad at you because of results of flights, otherwise she's going to be yelling a lot." She then waves to N'all and to Haven, "Heyt there you two."

In the Weyrhall> Bertha pokes the male brownrider next to her and whispers "Look it's N'all!"

In the Weyrhall> C'al says "Flights are part of being a Rider, Joslyn. You know that as well as I do. Until you can say with surety that Jeuneth will not rise and be caught by anyone but Simath, you have absolutely /NO/ right to expect Simath not to chase where he chooses."

In the Weyrhall> Lily just appears ammused by the whole thing. She lifts her hand to wave at N'all and Haven, calling out cheerily, "Heyla."

In the Weyrhall> N'all smirks at Haven, "About that, I'd say." He drapes his towell over his shoulder, and puts an arm around Haven, "MIssed you for the run, Haven."

In the Weyrhall> N'all notes that is the companionly over the shoulder kind of thing. Not an untoward kind of arm around Haven.

In the Weyrhall> N'all grins to Lily, "Heyla!" He smiles to Shadara, "Heyla, you two, too."

In the Weyrhall> Haven blinks and looks over at C'al, never worried about whether she looks like she's being nosey. N'all's touch brings her back to her thoughts, knowing that if N'all's touch was too forwardly, she could easily grab his wrist right there, and with a step, turn, and twist like this, snap it with a nice crunch. "Oh, yeah. Darven was sick again. I think he's allergic to nuts. I'll wake you up at half past the 2nd watch in the morning for a nice long run."

In the Weyrhall> Joslyn glances Shadara-wards once again, some snapped comment dying unuttered as she settles for a lengthy mutter, punctuated by typically-Josy curses, about just finding someone to keep her furs arm, then. Hmph.

In the Weyrhall> N'all nods to Haven, "Look forward to it." He also full well knows that Haven would hardly be able to budge said wrist as it's nearly as big around as her bicep; but he lets her dream about such things.

In the Weyrhall> C'al frowns a bit more, "Josy, stop acting like a child. You've been at the weyr longer than I have, and went through the same training as a weyrling. You know we have no choice when it comes to flights. It is what dragons DO. And I will not be apologetic for Simath when he is happy. Ever."

In the Weyrhall> Marila blinks in confusion.

In the Weyrhall> Haven nods and smiles. Thick neck on the weyrlingmaster, but a tiny finger tip with the right amount of pressure and such pretty shades of blue he'd turn. "How's Rose? Isn't it almost time for her dragon to rise? I'm about on pins and needs for Hexenth to rise. Always makes life interesting for me and M'ren. Pendrath hasn't caught her the last too times." She shrugs as though that is nothing, maybe hoping it will easy nearby tensions. "But you know, its not our choice."

In the Weyrhall> Telinda walks over from the Landing Field.

Telinda frowns as she walks in, "Who's calling who a child here?" she asks, heading right into the fray. :)

N'all nods to C'al, and butts right in, he doesn't care, they're all his kids, "He's right, Josy. You shouldn't get jealous over something C'al had zero control over." Oh, sure, he'd turn blue, but he'd not pass out until he tied haven into a few knots, "I would imagine so. Ceruth as a rule doesn't chase greens; finds them far too difficult to catch. Maybe this will be Pendrath's chance."

Shadara arcs an eyebrow at the mutter, and then grins at C'al's comment, nodding, "Exactly, nor should you be, especially if someone's being very silly about it all, C'al. Simath is a male and can be expected to do no less than chase a rising female, be she green or gold."

Lily watches the fray, still smiling. She's enjoying the show it seems.

Haven nods "Really, when a green or gold goes up, male dragons go senseless. I have /no/ control over Pendrath. If he wins, he wins, and if he looses, I get a hangover." She smiles winningly. Hmmm... N'all has a blind spot it seems. I could move in on the side and one good kick....

Joslyn looks between Telinda, N'all, and Shadara as each tosses in his or her thoughts, but it's C'al she smiles at - ever-so-sweetly. "I never asked for an apology," she notes.

C'al raises a brow, "Then what, pray tell, is the point of this?"

Telinda's eyebrow shoots up, "If you're calling Josy a child, Bronzerider" she directs at C'al, "Then perhaps you need a bit more of that porcine education you had the other sevenday!

K'laarn strides over from the Landing Field.

N'all nods to Haven, "Ceruth kept trying, day after day after day until he finally figured it out. I also try to ensure we're out and about if there's a large number of greens rising." A blindspot? He almost senses Haven's thoughts and shifts slightly to deny the advantage. He was an apt pupil of Haven's.

Shadara looks at Joslyn and her gaze gets sharp, 'Then you've no right to call him unfaithful because of a flight. It's unfair, it's bratty and it's downright mean. He has no control over what happens because of a flight."

N'all looks at Shadara, "You would do well to remember you're addressing a Junior Weyrwoman, Shadara."

C'al looks to Telinda a long moment, pondering how to respond to that without getting in heaps of trouble, "Consider that comment rescinded. I forgot, in my irritation, that goldriders are perfect and beyond reproach."

K'laarn enters whistling a merry tune which immediately cuts off when he hears the sounds emiting from the brawling? women in the cavern. His glance flickers over to Telinda and he approaches her.

Haven nods "The egg knows how many times M'ren or I was grumpy at the other over a flight outcome, but we learned quick." She picks up a steak knife and studies her reflection in it, checking to see if she has food stuck between her teeth. N'all never could best her in knife throwing.

Joslyn ignores C'al's last, leaving him to the clutches of Telinda - ha, ha - in favor of a cool frown at Shadara. "Okay, when did you become an expert on what I do and do not have a right to say, please?"

Haven waves to Tel and K'laarn. "Evening!" So cheery.

Bertha nods at Tel and goes back to her knitting.

Bertha nods at K'laarn and goes back to her knitting.

Nerian waves idly, but mostly listening.

N'all looks at C'al, shakes his head, but lets Telinda handle him, he picks up a fork, "Aye, I learned that one really quick." He examines the fork, Haven never could beat him at darts.

K'laarn frowns slightly at C'al's comment, but says nothing. If the younger bronzerider addresses Telinda -- Telinda's strong enough to handle herself.

Telinda's gaze darts over to Shadara, and then to N'all nodding as he corrects that. Slowly, her gaze darts over to C'al and then she pauses, weighing him up, "Perfect? If you care to think we're perfect, I'm not about to challenge that. But you'd do well to remember your manners, and to remember that you still haven't been tapped for a wing. Diplomacy.." Did Telinda say the magic word? "..counts for much, especially with bronzeriders." She grins over at Haven, winking at her, and then back to C'al.

Shadara looks at Joslyn, "C'al's right Josy, when you can garantee that Simath will catch Jeuneth in every flight, she has, then you can complain about a flight, but will you let him call you unfaithful when another bronze or brown win's Jeuneth's flights? What's sauce for the goose is sauce for the gander as my mom always said, Ma'am."

Tiarnath> I bespoke Simath with << You know, there's this rather large patch of mud, just over in this corner, Simath, and you have no idea how good it feels on your hide! Not only that, but it makes you look wonderful! >>

Tiarnath> Tinneth warbles.

Dragon> Ceruth bespoke Tiarnath with << You have the look of wanting to wallow about you, Tiarnath. >>

Tiarnath> Ceruth senses that Tiarnath affects a meign of innocence, << Who me, Ceruth?! >>

Dragon> Simath bespoke Tiarnath with << Really? Where? Mud is fun. It's a good way to get a bath. >>

Tiarnath> Tiarnath croons to Tinneth.

Joslyn may not be right, but she thinks she is and that's enough to keep her arguing an obviously moot point. Directed at Shadara, she says, "C'al's fidelity is questionable at best, as I'm sure you all know." She casts a meaningful glance around the busy, eavesdropping hall. "So don't get on my case for havin' a fit when I've got every right t'be upset."

Dragon> Tiarnath senses that Ceruth sounds disappointed << Yes, you. I am need of a good wallow. >> He knows that's how to get information from Tiarnath, see.

Tiarnath> Simath senses that Tiarnath rumbles << Just over here in the landing field, in one corner. It's very sloshy! >>

Tiarnath> Simath pushes through some bushes and steps into the glade.

Tiarnath> Simath glides in, landing near Tiarnath.

Tiarnath> Duirath moves towards the the broad Landing Field below.

N'all looks at Joslyn, "With all due respect, Josy, you don't have a right to be upset. I had thought I trained you better than that. C'al had no control over who won the flight. It wasn't his fault. It's a hard lesson to learn; but it's one you need to learn really quickly."

Lily isn't saying a thing. Nope. She's just sipping her klah.

Shadara tilts her head, "You went throught the same training Josy, be upset at him if you really want to be, but is it going to do you any good? Is it going to make you feel better to try and hurt him for something he has no control over, remember something else too, please, What you say to someone else, to hurt them, may come back to haunt you when you find yourself in that person's same place a few months or turns down the road. You don't have the right to be upset because of the results of a flight, that's one of the things N'all was sure to stress in his flight lecture."

Tiarnath> Tiarnath is currently inspecting a huge muddy pond, just perfect for rolling in, then who should wander over, but Simath..ah-ha! Just the dragon!

N'all picks up a mug, Haven could never really out-drink him, either, he fills it up with klah, and looks at Haven, "Feline rip out your tongue?"

Haven puts down the knife and mutters to herself. "What's fidelity have to do with riders? There are times I wonder why every brown eyed child in this weyr under 10 doesn't claim M'ren for a father." She meanders over to a sideboard to get some fruit.

C'al nods at Telinda, and frowns at Josy, "No. Let her be. If she chooses to believe that, then let her. I don't want to spend every day of my life wondering what will be overreacted to today. If you will excuse me, I need a bath. Good day.

C'al strides over to the Landing Field.

K'laarn adds lightly, "And if you decide, Josy, to ignore our words and good advice, then you'll loose yourself the person you love, won't you? And it'll be your fault, no one elses." His words are blunt, almost cruel. "And then he'll find someone else, and you'll have to watch him wfall in love with another woman, because you rejected him over something foolish, and you'll know, if you'd just done things differently, things wouldn't of turned out like they did."

N'all grins at Haven, "You mean they aren't?"

Telinda wrinkles her nose and floops down in a seat, "Gah! Bronzeriders!" she exclaims and then looks at the other ones in the room, "And don't either of you look at me in that way!"

Tiarnath> In the northern sky, Muinyth moves towards the the sky over the Landing Field.

Telinda stares at K'laarn. The man has lost all reason. "Josy, do yourself a favour. Live on your own. Kick them all out of the cottage you're in. It'll be a quieter life, that's for sure."

N'all looks at Telinda, his normal bland, stoic expression (the one that let's him beat haven in dragonpoker) ever-present, "Telinda, I would look at you in no different way than I would any other rider worthy of respect."

K'laarn does look at Telinda though, grinning, "Well, it is good that my goldrider was so smart as to realize that just because Rnayth caught other dragons, and I might of even sired children with others besides her, doesn't mean I don't devote my entire being to her!" He winks then.

Haven rolls her eyes. "Har har, N'all." She looks mildly irritated and tosses a redfruit at him in a nice slow underhanded toss that even he should be able to catch.

K'laarn tells the room at large, "Telinda regularly threatens to kick me out of our cottage."

Joslyn basically just ignores what everyone else has to say, her attention directed and settled upon the exit C'al's recently employed. "Me'n Jeuneth do live by ourselves," is the only thing she says, quite the tragic figure now that he's gone and run out. /That/ wasn't supposed to happen.

N'all doesn't see the redfruit, but his hand snatches it cleanly from the air, Zen and the art of Fruit catching, he grins, "Thank you, Haven. Just what I wanted."

Shasta walks over from the Landing Field.

Haven says "What matters is if after the flights, after the dragon lust, whether that person still loves you. I mean, look at K'laarn - his dragon has beaten Pendrath in Hexenth's flight, and I got over... eventually. Even if Ryanth is a full meter shorter than Pendrath."

Nerian waves at Shasta.

Bertha pokes the female greenrider next to her and whispers "Look it's Shasta!"

Telinda isn't looking too pleased at K'laarn's words, "Smart? _SMART_?!" She snorts, "I'll be starting to get smart right now and asking you to get yourself out of my cottage!" she says standing up, hand immediately ending up on her hip, "I really don't know why I've put up with it so long!" She turns to Joslyn, "I have a bottle or two of decent wine stashed away. Would you like to join me?!"

Shadara shakes her head a bit, "You know, "Edar's going through the pain of figuring out who he loves and what matters most, he hurts because of what happened between us because of a flight, maybe you could be nice enough and understanding enough to consider that before you start chewing him to pieces Josy. Now I have a Friend that needs some cheering up, and I'm certainly glad Saith's a green."

Shadara walks toward the Landing Field.

Vtol moves over from the Landing Field.

Vtol lands on a wall.

K'laarn rolls his eyes at Telinda and whispers, sotto voce, "See what I mean? Always with the threats. My cottage she calls it, " Then he snorts bemusedly and walks over to Telinda, adding, "You forgot the 'I devote my life to you' part, Telinda." He chastises gently.

Shasta strides into the weyrhall, headed straight for the klah pots with nods of greeting.

Tiarnath> Plumleaf enters from the lush lakeside meadow.

Lily looks over and waves at the brownrider. "H'lo, Shasta." Picture of sanity, she is.

Plumleaf flits over from the Landing Field.

N'all makes a hasty retreat over towards Haven. Josy and C'al, he can handle. Telinda and K'laarn, if they were invented, he'd be wearing a flack jacket.

Plumleaf swoops over to land on Bertha's arm.

In Bertha's lap, Plumleaf has arrived.

K'laarn of course is refering to the fact that 'he' said he devoted himself to Telinda.

Joslyn shakes her head, absently, at Telinda, looking after Shadara now with no small amount of concern coloring her featuers. As absent as the head-shake, she adds, "Nothankyou, Telinda." And she settles to chewing at her lower lip: What to do, what to do?

Marila settles into her sandwich, shoving the large thing into her mouth. She looks annoyed.

Nerian looks fairly neutral and about as safe as it gets at the moment.

Haven sits on a table and lets her legs dangle, swinging her feet back a forth. "Some days I'm glad I impressed a male, N'all. Could you imagine me on a green?"

Shasta makes her way to Marila's side, her spoon clanking against the walls of her klah mug as she stirs in sweetener. Odd, but her path for some reason veers way clear of bickering couples.

Lily cocks her head at Haven. "How tall are you Haven? I thought we were about the same height.."

Telinda has, like certain people, selective hearing, usually just at the wrong time as well. She therefore doesn't hear the implications of K'laarn being devoted, and just swings around with her fist curled up -- see Haven, she remembers! -- and heading right for K'laarn's chin. "Don't be smart with me!" she snarls out.

Haven stands up tall. "Hmmm... not exactly a tower, but taller than the average woman." Typist's note: around 5 foot 8. She could still dangle feet from a standard table top :)

N'all looks at Haven, "That is a scary thought, Haven."

Marila glances over to Shasta, "People are odd."

N'all doesn't even bat an eye at the punch aimed towards k'laarn.

Lily nods, then grins. "You're a little taller I suppose. Though I'm so used to Ty I think I'd feel lost up on a brown."

Of course, K'laarn notices the fist comming for him too late. Only the whistle of wind from the flying hand alerts him, and he turns, getting it full in the face. Knuckles bruise his chin and lips, mashing them under his angry weyrmate's fist. He recoils. "Ow!" His hand comes up to his chin. Then rage flames in his violet eyes. He studies the Weyrwoman, as if trying to determine what to do first. Then a maliciously wicked grin cracks bloodied lips and he stalks toward Telinda threateningly.

Haven hears that snarl and turns, seeing a fist heading to K'laarn. No way to tell if she's worried for K'laarn, or for Telinda's hand. "Pardon me a moment. This looks familiar." She starts scurrying over to the couple, just in case she needs to through Tel over her shoulder again.

Shasta turns a suprised glance towards Telinda at her snarl, blinking. But, once her eyes focus on the woman, she returns to her klah and sister. "So, Mar... how goes?" the brownrider inquires, evenly.

N'all doesn't even bother standing, no one here is taller than him, and let Haven feel superior for once. He watches as Haven heads over to handle Tel and smirks, "This is where it gets fun."

Marila blinks and peers at Shasta, "Ummm I don't know."

Lily cocks an eyebrow at Telinda and K'laarn, then shakes her head.

N'all hrms, and does haul himself up right and heads towards K'laarn, just in case he needs to knock K'laarn out.

Haven steps over a chair and makes her way to the couple as though this was just another fight between her children over posession of a toy "Now, now you two... if you're going to hit, let us take bets first..."

Nerian doesn't appear terribly surprised by this turn of events, and she stays out of the way, at any rate.

Amara peeks her head out of the kitchen, the gossiping drudge taking in the whole scene. A shout pulls her back into the kitchen. Well, if Bertha's not paying attention, there'll surely be someone to spread the tales tomorrow...

Telinda's eyes narrow as she looks at her weyrmate, putting a table between herself and K'laarn. For a moment, her eyes glaze -- checking on Tiarnath perhaps? -- and then they're back, "You'd better leave now, K'laarn. I'm going to find a decent skin of wine!" Hands do raise themselves in defense though, and if that fails, there's always the boots.

Marila watches the weyrwoman and her weyrmate with pure confusion.

N'all positions himself behind K'laarn, picks up an earthenware pot, hefts it, shakes his head, and picks up a bigger one.

Haven jumps back a bit before getting the corner of that table in her hip as Telinda slides it. "Wine does sound good, really. Lets share a skin, Tel..." She smiles every so sweetly and looks at K'laarn, noting that N'all is behind him, then takes a step around the corner of the table to Tel's side.

Having considered what to do all this while, Joslyn finally just stands up straight, managing to keep her chair from tipping over only by catching the leg with her foot. "'Scuse me," as she kicks said chair back under the table, then dashes out promptly.

Joslyn strides over to the Landing Field.

Vtol buzzes annoyingly around Marila's head. Bzzz.

K'laarn just laughs and pauses, looking over his angry weyrmate, "You're so beautiful when your eyes flare up like that and your cheeks get flushed, " He compliments off-handedly.

N'all holds the pottery at the ready.

Marila waves her hand about irritibly.

K'laarn suddenly turns his head, "And if you hit me with that pot," He says after seeing N'all, "You'll regret it." All of this is said goodnaturedly.

Shadara strides over from the Landing Field.

Plumleaf spreads her wings and flies away from Bertha's arm.

Plumleaf flies over to the Landing Field.

N'all grins, "Hit you with it?" He dumps the cold water on said bronze rider, "I'd hate to waste a good pot."

Telinda taps her foot for a moment or two, then storms out, passing K'laarn on the way out and thwapping him across the top of his head with the flat of her hand as she passes, "Don't bother coming back tonight, your clothes will be outside!" Flicking a look over her shoulder, she looks at Haven, "You coming?"

Haven smiles and follows. Ain't missing this for all the money in Bitra... "Of course!"

K'laarn splutters under the cold stream of water and bellows, "What in by Faranth was that for!" He looks like he might murder the other bronzerider now. Then distracted by Telinda stormming of he said, "You'd best not, Telinda, I'll just strew them all over the floor if you do. I can't be bothered to fold them back up if you pull them out of my press."

Telinda shrugs, "Like it'll matter, they won't be in -my- cottage" she says as a parting shot. "How about a trip to the 'dog', Haven?"

You walk toward the Landing Field.

In the Weyrhall> Haven looks over her shoulder and grins. Can't tell if its a 'Don't worry, I'll soothe her' grin or a 'Man, are you in trouble and I'm going to keep it that way' grin

Haven walks over from the Weyrhall.

In the Weyrhall> N'all grins at K'laarn, "Well, at least it re-directed your anger." He blanches at the mention of the dog, but it's a quick blanch.

Haven says "Dog sounds wonderful"

Haven almost has to jog to keep up

In the Weyrhall> Marila rests her chin on her fist.

In the Weyrhall> Marila says "What the faranth just happened?"

In the Weyrhall> K'laarn just scowls fiercely and says "Well, if the woman doesn't wnat me around I'll just go back to Honshu. I'm sure they'll welcome a bronzerider as experienced as me." He mutters, barely glaring at N'all before heading off to grumble amongst his wingriders.

In the Weyrhall> Bertha flips her fingers and mutters loyally, "Honshu can't hold a candle to Southern!"

Kinoa enters from the lush lakeside meadow.

In the Weyrhall> Shadara pat's N'all's shoulder at the mention of ht 'dog' since she knows the reason for the very brief loss of color, then she heads over to get herself some juice.

Telinda is storming, definitely the word right now, over to Tiarnath, putting on flight gear as she goes. "That man!" she spits out to Haven, looking over her shoulder to find she's a bit behind and slowing a little, "What's the matter with you?!"

In the Weyrhall> K'laarn mutters "They will if I'm there, Bertha." He snorts -- most of his words naught but hot steam. Then, "Go away N'all. I don't need your jibes."

In the Weyrhall> Bertha looks over from her mug of tea and winks. "Always."

In the Weyrhall> Vtol bzzzs and lands on Marila's nose. Annoying, isn't he?

In the Weyrhall> N'all smiles at K'laarn, "No, I'd say you get enough from Telinda."

Haven is almost tripping as she looks down to fasten her jacket. "Just mount up and we'll go." Then as an afterthought, calls out, "He's a real pig sometimes!" That'll keep her stewing.

In the Weyrhall> K'laarn determinedly says "If she doesn't want me in her cottage or life, thats our buisness, not yours." Obviously he's hurting over Telinda's angry words and making up ones of his own.

Kinoa's friendly greeting dies a quick death on her lips as she looks quizzically from Haven to Telinda and back. Maybe she'll just pretend she doesn't see them at all...and sneak past them towards the Hall.

Simath crooons to Kinoa softly, nudging her.

In the Weyrhall> K'laarn suddenly lights on an idea. "Maybe I'll go remove my stuff before she can throw it out." Unspoken but expressed on his face is the familiar, 'that'll show her'.

Haven check's Pendrath's straps and then starts climbing up. No point in being careless, no matter how mad Telinda is.

In the Weyrhall> Marila waves her hand at the bug. She hiccups.

In the Weyrhall> N'all looks at k'laarn, "Oh, shut up. How often does she do this to you, you go flying off the handle, then within a sevenday you're back to googoo eyes. What you need, m'friend, is a bit of memory."

Tiarnath croons lovingly, excited at another chance to fly with you. She lowers a Champagne and Pearl Gold foreleg and you scramble up nimbly.

In the Weyrhall> Shadara coughs a bit, or is that a muffled chuckle coming from her mouth, which is covered my her hand as she sit's down, "K'laarn, don't you think there's been enough angry words between people this evening? Relax, calm down and give Telinda the chance to calm down. It's either that or people might consider comparing you to C'al. Hate to see people say you're acting like rider that's just graduated."

*> Kinoa shushes Simath with a gesture, waving her hands at about waist-level so as not to attract everyone's attention. Reaching up, she gives the bronze an affectionate scritch on the nearest eyeridge.

*> Haven finds a place on Pendraths back, using one of the dragons forelegs for a boost and then getting secure with the riding straps.

*> Pendrath whuffles quietly, and waits patiently as Haven climbs up and settles herself between his two upper neckridges and straps herself in.

Telinda takes one look at the straps, shrugs and leaves them, muttering under her breath, and barely nodding to Kinoa with some measure of sanity..?

In the Weyrhall> K'laarn eyes N'all. "I didn't do anything to make her angry." He says through clenched teeth. "Maybe I'm tired of people thinking I'm making ga ga eyes at my weyrmate. " He grits his teeth, "Telinda."

*> Simath crooons, softly.

*> From Pendraths back, Haven looks, waiting for Tiarnath to launch first as is her honor. She waves to Kinoa in parting

In the Weyrhall> N'all grins and just shakes his head, he heads towards the exit, "You're too much K'laarn."

In the Weyrhall> Vtol buzzes away, choosing to annoy Shadara instead. She looks less capable of moving quick enough to swat him.

*> Tiarnath crouches, muscles tensing in readiness. She gracefully unfurls her Champagne and Pearl Gold wings, launching herself into the air with a powerful thrust of her hindlegs and a modicum of stirred dust.

You fly toward the sky over Southern Weyr.

*> Pendrath moves towards the the sky over Southern Weyr.

In the Weyrhall> N'all walks toward the Landing Field.

In the Weyrhall> Shadara sets out a bit of sweetener to get the Vtol's attention.

In the Weyrhall> K'laarn eyes Shadara, looking about to say something more, but the gains control over hismelf and finally decides. "Rnayth and I are taking some of the wing out hunting. I just remembered." He stands slowly and as dignified as possible. That'll give him time to calm down and be active too to wear it out of himself -- hopefully.

*> Tiarnath disappears into Between.

*> Tiarnath emerges from Between with a blast of cold air!

*> Pendrath emerges from Between with a blast of cold air!

In the Weyrhall> Shadara grins and wings at K'laarn, "Thank you." she says, though it's unclear what the comment is for. Of course she's rubbing at her stomach a little, maybe all the fighting's upset it or something like that.

You wing down to the beach below.

*> Pendrath lands with a gentle gust of sand.

*> Haven unstraps herself, and slides down Pendrath's side to the ground.

*> Pendrath warbles quietly and settles himself down as Haven unstraps herself

In the Weyrhall> Nerian glances at K'laarn and gets up, putting her mug away and leaving wordlessly.

In the Weyrhall> Nerian strides over to the Landing Field.

In the Weyrhall> Vtol buzzes down and does vtol-things at the sweetener.

You jump down off of Tiarnath with lithe grace, the Champagne and Pearl Gold nudging your hip playfully as you reach the ground.

Telinda mumbles under her breath, "Stupid, stupid man, I even forgot to do up my jacket because of him, and now I'm freezing! Definitely time for a drink!"

Haven pulls off her helmet and unfastens her jacket. "Well, he can be infuriating. Sometimes I wonder what insanity made me save his life. First round is on me."

Haven takes the path to the Dusty Dog.

You take the path to the Dusty Dog.

Haven takes the path towards the Dusty Dog.

You take the path towards the Dusty Dog.

Haven reaches in her pocket and puts down a couple of 2 mark pieces. "Ale... good and dark... and drop a shot of firewater in both of em while your at it!"

Telinda grins, though it's more like a grimace "I wonder if I have enough marks for a serious drinking session. It's been too long and I bet the prices went up!" She nods to Sally, the chuckles at Haven, "Oh, now you'll get me drunk! I'm not used to firewater!"

Haven smiles "Might as well get drunk quick if you're going to do it at all. I've got enough marks to cover drinks and a couple of cots if we can't see straight enough to fly home later."

In the Weyrhall> K'laarn strides over to the Landing Field.

In the Weyrhall> Marila hiccups and makes herself another thick sandwich, "Faranth." She walks off.

In the Weyrhall> Marila walks out towards the Residences clearing.

Telinda nods, "I'd rather sleep in my own bed if you take my meaning, other beds just don't have the same sleep factor" she says, taking her drink from Sally. "Alright. How am I supposed to drink this?"

Haven chuckles. "As quickly as you can. The ale cuts down on the burn of the firewater, but it'll still clear out your sinuses. To your health!" She lifts her mug in salute and then starts gulping it down, not pausing for a single breath.

Telinda peers at Haven for a moment, before following her lead, taking huge gulps of the amber liquid, but pausing two or three times to catch her breath.

Haven gets down, head tossed back and then slams the mug to the bar top. With an odd look on her face, she pulls her chin back, lining up her asophogas, and then lets out a hardy, loud, and long belch. Thumping her fist against her breastbone, she adds proudly, "Another like that, and I can probably name the wing while I burp."

Telinda giggles at Haven, and wipes her mouth on her sleeve, "Oh, I have just got to see" burp, "that" she remarks.

Haven nods and orders another round of drinks "I'll see what I can do." The ale's arrive and again, one good toss back and the drink is drunk. She pauses, putting the mug down, waiting for the gas to work up to its proper pressure.

In the Weyrhall> Shadara shakes her head a bit and rubs her tummy again, "So why do all the couples seem to be acting as bad as your daddy, little one. Is it like some illness they're catching? Sure seems to be spreading like it."

Telinda watches Haven avidly as she drinks her drink, much slower this time, but still pretty fast for someone who drinks nothing but wine.

Haven makes a couple of gulps, throat straining and then "BWWWAAVallanhyriooorienyllanirabllleaaaaCCCHHHH!!!!" She cover her mouth and makes a smaller follow up belch. "Dammit, only got about half of them"

Telinda laughs, "Close, though, very close! What's the firewater like without the ale? Intolerable?" she asks, a slight slurring on that last word

Haven smiles a bit goofily. "Nah, not really, though its an... " she looks for the word as her vocabulary dimisses logorithmically with the passing seconds "Ack-quired taste. Burns purty nasty going down but warms ya right up! Kinda like a fire inside of ya... Hee! I guess that's why they call it firewater!" Then a pause, followed with a thoughtful look, "Can we burn K'laarn's clothes tonight instead of just you know..." she waves her hands as though shooing something in front of her, "Tossing them out?"

Telinda smiles one of those goofy-I'm-not-in-full-command-of-my-senses smiles and nods, "Why don' we! We can 'ave a 'ack-if-ikal burnin' of his things just to be on the safe sife!" She thumps the bar, and grins over at Sally, "Gimme one of tho' firewater thingy-me-bobs to try!"

Haven chuckles and says with the last of her senses. "Why don't we head back and take a bottle of firewater with us to try there while we're having our little bonniefire thingamabopperdohickie?"

Telinda beams, "Tha a plan!" she declares, linking her arm in Haven's, "Where to?"

Haven smiles and takes the bottle Sally offers, and reaches in her pocket, raining a few marks of undetermined amount on the bar. "To the weyr!" Charge. "We can get Tia or Pendrath to light the fire after we make a nice big pile of K'laarn...Kkkkk'laarn's stuff that is Heeeeee!" She giggles and leads/trips the way out

In the Weyrhall> Kinoa strides over from the Landing Field.

A couple of bronzeriders, still full of their wits, mutters something about offering an escort back to Southern, knowing these two are too witless to be allowed to fly back alone.

Telinda follows Haven, remembering last minute to take her jacket, "It have to be Pendrath, I don' have any a-gino for my 'ower!" she declares

You wander back out to the clearing.

Outside the Dusty Dog

Haven comes out of the Dusty Dog.

Haven follows the path back to the beach.

You follow the path back to the beach.

Tiarnath croons lovingly, excited at another chance to fly with you. She lowers a Champagne and Pearl Gold foreleg and you scramble up nimbly.

In the Weyrhall> Shadara is sipping at a mug of juice as her left had rubs along her tummy.

In the Weyrhall> Kinoa enters the hall, looking immensely cheerful and not at all like she has for the past week or so. "Hello, Shadara," she says in a sing-song kinda way.

Telinda buckles her jacket buckles into the straps, but leaves it at that for checking, not like she'll remember in this state anyhow, the jacket remains unbuckled to keep her cool perhaps, "To da weyr!" she shouts out merrily!

*> The two wingleaders from Eastern follow, giving their dragons the command to make sure the two Southern Dragons follow their visuals. Haven pulls on her jacket and gives up after trying to put her helmet on backwards. "TEl... you ready, oh thank you bronzerider... my you're the handsome one..." She climbs up, barely, and locks herself into her straps, sitting backwards of course.

In the Weyrhall> Shadara nods, "Hey there Kin, nice to see you back to normal."

*> "Um, Weyrwoman Telinda? Are you okay up there? Do I need to help you with your straps?" D'hunk calls out. Damn cute too.

*> Haven finds a place on Pendraths back, using one of the dragons forelegs for a boost and then getting secure with the riding straps.

*> Pendrath whuffles quietly, and waits patiently as Haven climbs up and settles herself between his two upper neckridges and straps herself in.

*> Pendrath rumbles worriedly and looks to the other bronzes and then Tiarnath.

In the Weyrhall> Kinoa fills a mug with juice, not that nasty klah stuff, and saunters over to a seat near the AWLM. "What's normal?" she asks with a grin, tucking her legs neatly under the table.

In the Weyrhall> Bertha looks over from her knitting and gives Kinoa a pleading look. "Would you give my mug a fill o' klah too while you're up sweetie?"

You say "I feel like I'm a missin sumthin!" she calls out, swinging her legs, "Oh d'right, so stirrups ere!" A smile goes to the rider down below, "Cor I'm Ok, I'm just a little tiddlyeyed, is all!""

Dragon> Pendrath bespoke Tiarnath with << The bronzes are adamant that we make sure to take their visuals. My rider is rather woozy. Are you okay to fly? >>

Tiarnath> I bespoke Pendrath with << I didn't drink, did you? I don't know if it's possible for a dragon to drink, maybe, maybe not, a neat experiment one day. I'm fine. I have the visualisation! >>

*> From Pendraths back, Haven looks around. "Where did yer head go Pendrathypoo? I know I left it here somewhere..."

*> Pendrath rumbles his ready to the other dragons, more than eager to get his lifemate home and safe

Telinda beams down at D'hunk, "Wanna ride sexy?!" she asks, giggling all the time, even as Tiarnath spreads her wings

*> The bronzeriders scowl about protocol and after a good visual check of what they can see, decide it is safe to leave. The mount up and the bronzes rise to lead the way

Telinda puts a hand over her mouth, "Opps, that came out wong. Oh well. Tally ho!"

*> From Pendraths back, Haven looks around at the ground. "Sumpting came out? Did you drop something Telinda? I think Pendrath's neck grew too much... I can't see his nose..." she hugs at the neckridge behind her. Nice a smooth ridge... nice cool ridge... feels good on her cheek

*> Pendrath takes to the sky above, leaving a swirl of sand behind.

Telinda shakes her head vehemently, "Nothing came out wet, err, met, er, you know. Lets go home, Havey?"

You take to the sky above.

Sky Above Lonely Beach

*> Pendrath disappears into Between.

*> Tiarnath disappears into Between.

Northern Sky - Southern Weyr

*> Tiarnath emerges from Between with a blast of cold air!

*> Tiarnath banks hard as she comes out of *between* neatly avoiding another dragon that just fly up from below. Unfortunately, at the same time, Telinda goes in the other direction and normally well looked after straps fail, and the weyrwoman slips from her lifemates neckridges, balanced only by her jacket which isn't even buckled up. A loud scream echos.

Dragon> Tiarnath bespoke Southern Weyr with << We need assistance. *NOW* >>

Dragon> Simath bespoke Southern Weyr with << What happens? >>

Dragon> Jeuneth bespoke Southern Weyr with << We? >>

Dragon> Saith bespoke Southern Weyr with << Who is we and why? >>

Dragon> Southern Weyr sense that Rnayth roars, << We are comming >> It is all he spares time to say.

Dragon> Southern Weyr sense that Pendrath bellows with anger << Someone get up there before she falls! >>

*> Saith moves towards the the sky over Southern Weyr.

*> Rnayth moves towards the the sky over Southern Weyr.

Dragon> Pendrath bespoke Southern Weyr with << The weyrwoman is in trouble - her straps broke! Any dragon that can help needs to get up - NOW! >>

*> Simath moves towards the the sky over Southern Weyr.

Dragon> Simath bespoke Southern Weyr with << I am here. >>

In the Weyrhall> Kinoa rushes out the door without another word.

*> Tiarnath carefully tries to glide instead of fly, since flying would only dislodge the rider hanging precariously from her straps. She even tries to contain the rumbling building inside, which is echoed from most of the other dragons around the weyr.

In the Weyrhall> Kinoa strides over to the Landing Field.

In the Weyrhall> Kinoa has left.

*> Saith shifts, gleaming green wings surging her up and under Tiarnath, close enough for Tel's feet to touch her back.

*> Luiseth moves towards the the sky over Southern Weyr.

*> Simath circles up, just out of the main fray. Riderless, he stands ready to assist however he can.

*> Rnayth circles into the sky, the rider on his back bearing a grave expression -- it is fixed and stony, determination straining his muscles tensely. Rnayth circles up to Tiarnath, bellowing his concern as K'laarn hangs on, barely fixed into his own straps. What is he going to try to get her loose?

*> Luiseth arrives from *between* without her rider, responding to her queen's cry of distress. Bellowing to a blue that veers dangerously close to her, she positions herself below Tiarnath, hovering with a mass of other dragons.

*> Sitting behind Rnayth's first neckridge K'laarn rises in his harness as he bellows. "Rnayth, tell that green to get out of the way!" And Rnayth does, there's no way Telinda can balance precariously on a flying green dragon -- she needs someone fastened in to pull her off and to hold on to her.

*> Telinda is hanging upside down, the wrong movement to anywhere would send her arms flying out through the open jacket and leave her in the sky without any means to fly. Another strap, caught in her belt buckle is caught around her foot, maybe the only thing holding her in position, maybe not. Hard to tell. At this point, Saith's proximity does nothing, unfortunately, for the striken rider.

Dragon> Rnayth bespoke Southern Weyr with << Saith. Move so that I can get under. >> Comes the short, curt command. >>

*> Luiseth circles away as Rnyath takes command, the pack following her, though she remains nearby and alert.

*> Simath flies toward the sky over White Sands Lake.

*> In the southern sky, Simath moves towards the the sky over White Sands Lake.

Dragon> Simath bespoke Southern Weyr with << I am out of the way. >>

*> In the southern sky, Simath soars to the white sandy beach below.

Tiarnath> I bespoke Simath with << Will someone just do -something-!? I'm loosing height and I can't fly with her like this! >>

Dragon> Tiarnath bespoke Southern Weyr with << Will someone just do -something-!? I'm loosing height and I can't fly with her like this! >>

*> In the southern sky, Simath moves towards the the open sky above.

*> In the southern sky, Simath flies toward the sky over the Landing Field.

*> Simath moves towards the the sky over the Landing Field.

*> Simath glides back in, moving up under the gold, offering support if she needs it, assuming noone else has already moved to do so.

In the Weyrhall> Shadara walks toward the Landing Field.

*> Jeuneth ambles across from the eastern weyrs clearing.

*> Luiseth , seeing that the larger dragons are already moving into position to support the queen, circles quickly to the ground and picks up her rider. Extra hands won't hurt.

Dragon> Saith bespoke Southern Weyr with << I bring Kinoa, Rnayth, get under Tia, to catch Telinda, If Simath and Jeuneth can support her, I'll bring Kinoa and she can cut Telinda free. >>

Dragon> Simath bespoke Southern Weyr with << I have her, some, but she is heavy. Jeuneth, help me? >>

*> Saith moves towards the the sky over Southern Weyr.

*> Jeuneth, minus Joslyn but at least she's here, comes up almost directly from the shared clearing off to the east. With a trumpet to announce her presence, she banks as quickly as bulk will allow to align with Simath, sharing Tiarnath's burden.

*> Tiarnath lets Simath take the weight of one of her wings, but she's large, though small for a gold, but with Jeuneth's extra help she's steady in the air, not loosing precious altitude anymore. Telinda, though, still hangs from the straps, and, eww, might want to avoid that little stream that went groundwards there.

*> Mounted on Saith, Shadara fixes a spare rope to her straps, "Kinoa, attach the rope around your waist and then slide down to Tiarnath, cut the ropes holding her once Rnayth and K'laarn are under her to catch.

*> Mounted on Saith, Kinoa mutters, "Falling rider drills tomorrow," fastening herself securely to Saith with the rope. Leaning over a little, she looks down to see if Rnayth is in position yet. "Luiseth, ask Rnayth to tell you when," she calls out to her own dragon.

Dragon> Saith bespoke Southern Weyr with << Rynath, are you and your lifemate ready to catch? >> she asks as she follows her rider's commands, wings flat and still as she literally hovers on a thermal above Tiarnath's broad neck << We need to hurry. >>

*> Mounted on Saith, Shadara nods as Saith's in the right position, "Kin, see if you can take an extra rope, maybe lower her down by her belt to Rynath, rather than letting her drop.

*> Mounted on Saith, Shadara unbuckles Kinoa from the flying straps, leaving her free to dismount.

*> Rnayth obviously is expressing more of K'laarn's worry and panick than The rider himself is through that stony control. Both the dragon and rider are positioned below -- as close as the small bronze can fly upwards with the dragons above supporting the dragon's weight. Perhaps K'laarn doesn't realize it, and no one would be able to hear it, but he's muttering, "Don't fall, don't fall, don't fall. If you fall and die I'll kill you." His dragon only echoes the worried sentiment.

*> Mounted on Saith, Shadara fixes the other end of the rope around Kinoa's neck, "Glad I just finished these straps yesterday." she mutters as she nods, ready to lower kin with Saith's help, Ready when you are Kin."

*> Mounted on Saith, Shadara hands Kinoa the spare rope to attach to Telinda's belt

*> Mounted on Saith, Kinoa catches the go-ahead and takes a deep breath, then, trusting in the strength of the rope and her own knot-tying skills, goes over Saith's side and dangles within reach of Telinda. Working quickly, as she likes this position no more than her own anxious, hovering dragon, she ties the rope securely around Telinda's waist, making a kind of emergency harness, before cutting the blasted straps so that the weyrwoman is free. To everyone's great relief, Telinda does /not/ go plunging towards the ground.

*> Jeuneth struggles slightly under the weight she's not quite accustomed to, slightly behind and to one side Simath lest her wings foul his.

*> Simath glides along, working .with. Jeuneth, for once, in supporting the older dragon.

*> Tiarnath lets Jeuneth and Simath continue to take the weight. Meanwhile, now secured by a strap and swinging to and fro from that one, Telinda tries not to throw up anymore, pretty hard when you're drunk and upside down.

Dragon> Saith bespoke Southern Weyr with << Luiseth, once Telinda is safe I'll glide up till you can get between Tirnath and I, then I will lower your rider to your neck, alright? >>

*> Mounted on Saith, Kinoa is having a little trouble maneuvering, since she's got no wings and is dangling halfway to the stars, but she gives the Telinda-rope slack, slowly, lowering the goldrider to the waiting Rnayth and K'laarn. Of course, Telinda gets a bit jostled on the way, but she's trying to be as gentle as possible.

*> Sitting behind Rnayth's first neckridge K'laarn swallows, deeply and rapidly, muscles along chest and arms bulging with tense effort as he waits for Telinda to fall toward him. When she does -- best not think of that (and from the expression twisting his face briefly, he was thinking the worst), his face composes and he waits. He waits.

*> Telinda is barely still conscious, her colouring is most assuredly not a good tone right now, hanging upside down isn't good for a girl, and as she reaches the safety of K'laarn and Rnayth, her stomach decides that just for good measure it'll get rid of some more of it's contents. Thankfully there's not much there right now.

*> Simath croons quietly, encouraging the others to hurry.

Dragon> Southern Weyr sense that Luiseth's worried entreaty can be heard by the whole weyr. << Kinoa, please stop doing that now? >>

*> Saith stays as still as she can as she waits for Kinoa to release the rope holding Telinda once she's in K'laarn's arms.

*> Sitting behind Rnayth's first neckridge K'laarn quickly grasps onto Telinda as soon as she comes within reach. His arms wrap around her legs, then slide up to grip buttocks and hips before finally pulling her flush against his chest right before she gets sick. He doesn't seem to notice, his ownly thought for her safety. "I thought I'd lost you." He says gruffly, voice raw with emotion which few can hear through the rush of wings and wind.

Dragon> Saith bespoke Southern Weyr with << Luiseth, I rise, be ready to slide between Tiarnath and I. I will lower Kinoa down as soon as you are in position. >>

*> Mounted on Saith, Kinoa mutters, "...hurrying," though through the wind it's likely no one heard her. Seeing that K'laarn has Telinda safely in his arms, she cuts the rope that's bound to Telinda and sighs heavily. Whew. "Luiseth, wait until they're out of the way," she calls out as her dragon begins to move within reach.

Dragon> Simath bespoke Southern Weyr with << Tiarnath, can you fly on your own one Telinda is safe, or shall we glide you down? >>

*> Sitting behind Rnayth's first neckridge K'laarn holds very tightly to Telinda as Rnayth sprials down quickly and K'laarn can be heard bellowing over the beat of dragons' wings, "A healer!"

*> Rnayth soars to the broad Landing Field below.

Dragon> Tiarnath bespoke Southern Weyr with << There is nothing wrong with me. I fly. Thank you! >>

|*| In the northern sky, Saith rises slowly, clawed forelimbs hold the rope holding Kinoa, holding the other greenrider still as she waits for Luiseth to get into position.

|*| Marila looks quiet relieved as dragons start landing.

Dragon> Southern Weyr sense that Simath nods, << We release you, then. Call should you ever need us. >>

|*| In the northern sky, Tiarnath lets herself glide forward of the younger bronze and gold, her neck curling around to check on her lifemate, before she gracefully glides to the ground, furling wings just at the right moment.

|*| In the northern sky, Simath, after clearing it with the gold, moves away from her to let her own wings take over for landing.

|*| In the northern sky, Tiarnath soars to the broad Landing Field below.

|*| Tiarnath moves towards the the broad Landing Field below.

K'laarn twists himself, sliding down from Rnayth's neck toward his foreleg. He then hops down agily.

K'laarn dismounts, lifting Telinda off Rnayth at the same time holding her beside him as he climbs down. Then he lifts her in both arms and hugs her close, saying, "I swear..." The rest is indistinct.

In the northern sky, Once Tiarnath is safely out of the way, Luiseth deftly moves her small bulk into position, coming slowly up underneath her dangling, uncomfortable, but immensely relieved rider. Once she's in place and has made sure to /securely/ fasten her own riding straps, Kinoa gives Shadara an 'all-clear' signal and motions for her to release the rope binding her to Saith.

Dragon> Luiseth bespoke Southern Weyr with << I have her. >> Immensely relieved herself. << I will bring her down. >>

In the northern sky, Simath swoops off to join his rider, task complete.

In the northern sky, Jeuneth glances down to assure that Tiarnath has indeed landed and her rider is safe. That accomplished, she heads out toward the beach, a slow, wide spiral before she backwings to a landing somewhere near Simath.

In the northern sky, Saith hovers, stil holding onto the rope, letting the slack slip through her claws until she's ure letting it go won't hurt anyone and she drops it with a warble.

Telinda seems to have lost all control of her muscles, since she remains limp in K'laarn's arms. "Is..is." she tries again, "everyone ok?" she asks, at no more than a whisper.

K'laarn replies as he looks up briefly, "I think so. We need to make sure -you- are ok." He obviously remains focused on one thing only.

Marila murmurs, "She alright? What happened?" She blinks in confusion.

In the northern sky, Luiseth soars to the broad Landing Field below.

Luiseth moves towards the the broad Landing Field below.

In the northern sky, Saith flies toward the broad Landing Field below.

Saith moves towards the the broad Landing Field below.

Mounted on Saith, Shadara unbuckles the flying straps holding her in.

Shadara climbs down from Saith's back with the help of a gracefully extended foreleg. Shadara looks back at Saith and smiles gently as the green dragon watches them with whirling eyes.

K'laarn says in a ferocious voice, "Don't ever be so irresponsible again. "He looks like he'd shake her, if he wasn't supporting her completely. He only tightens his grip. "I was so .." He leaves the rest unsaid. The expression as he gazes into Telinda's face says more than words ever could.

Mounted on Luiseth's back, Kinoa unfastens her straps once she's sure she's on the ground, leaning forward to give her dragon's neck as much of a hug as she can manage. "Wonderful..." she murmurs, the green giving a thrumming kind of croon in return.

The Healer that K'laarn yelled for finally bustles forward. "What is going on!?" Her words seem to echo Marila's.

Rnayth croons in relief, his tail flicking in agitation, displaying his and his rider's emotions in every tense, bronzed muscle.

Shadara slides very carefully off Saith. she herself doesn't look like she feels to well either.

Kinoa unbuckles herself carefully and then swings her leg over her lifemate's side, giving Luiseth a loving pat on the neck before sliding down to the ground.

Telinda takes the opportunity to belch, rather loudly and unladylike, then grimaces, "It no like I 'ent to do it!"

Kinoa slowly eases herself off of the green's back, wincing as the movement rubs cloth against some newly-aquired rope burns. No matter, she's also worried about Telinda. The belch makes her wince again as she stands with the throng of concerned weyrfolk.

K'laarn finally looks over at Kinoa and Shadara and the other riders. "Thank you." He says with full and overwhelming sincerity, relief evident in his every movement. "You helped save my.. Telinda." Then "Good, fast thinking." Then to the healer. "She needs to be looked over, Healer, we'll take her to the cottage, that way we don't have to move her around." He suggests.

K'laarn adds to his troub lesome mate, "Intention or not, you caused danger to yourself and to Tiarnath. I'm sure Rose will have more than a few words to say to both you and Haven." Then he calms, "But not now. Now I'm going to make sure you get well so I can beat you so that you'll never do it again." He sounds serious -- but anyone that knows him, knows he'd ne ver actually beat Telinda, would he?

Marila pushes her hand through her hair.

Telinda wrinkles her nose, but takes the opportunity to faint. Amazing that.

Kinoa, seeing everything seems to be well under control now that Telinda's passed out, heads off to her weyr for some time to relax.

K'laarn stalks off toward -their- cottage with the Healer trailing and asking a slew of questions.

Kinoa pushes through some bushes off to the northwest.

Luiseth pushes through some bushes off to the northwest.

K'laarn heads northeast, into the Northeastern Weyr Clearing.

Back
