A Dragon's Tale
Song, written for Telinda and Tiarnath by the then Candidate Tandrum,
now T'dru, rider of Bronze Duirath
Golden Tiarnath sat on the Sands
Guarding her children like mother's fond hands
But she grew rather tired of this unmoving state
And decided to play with her loyal lifemate.
Her tail it did flicker with restless intent
And sand came a'flying - a volcano's vent
Showering her rider like a desert sand's shift
Had I been Telinda, I would've been miffed.
But the Weyrwoman laughed, a gleam in her eye
And all I could do was sit there and smile
For the bond of a dragon and rider so strong
Gave me the chance to sing this short song.
