Telinda and Haven almost come to blows!

March 27 1997, Logged by Telinda

Cassie shrugs at F'lan. "I'll probably stay here the night, or something, then head back in the morning..."

F'lan waves at Telinda, "Heya."

Telinda salutes, nothing more nothing less, not even a smile as she stomps along the field, hefting an old battered flamethrower and trying not to drop it.

J'reg looks up curiously when he hears Telinda come near.

F'lan nods to Cassie and hmms.. "You're welcome to stay at my weyr if you want, I can take the couch."

Telinda's glance flickers to Cassie, eyebrow arches as she ignores Tiarnath for the moment, "Moving again are we?" she asks snidely, then adds, "My old office and room are vacant at the moment, take them if you want, though Ginevrath will have to squeeze into the clearing."

J'reg watches quietly.

Triolth snorts.

R'kan walks over from the Weyrhall.

R'kan walks slowly out, and goes up to Cassie, "May I explain myself?" He looks around, "Privately??"

J'reg lifts an eyebrow.

Telinda snorts, sounding more and more like a less graceful copy of Tiarnath. She glances up at the gold, face softening for a moment, before heading in, "Don't mind me" she calls back, "Nobody else does!"

Cassie narrows her eyes at Telinda. "My own affairs are my business, /Weyrling/," she accents the rank. "And I'll be staying in the guest weyr." She growls, turning to Gin, then glancing at R'kan. "What??" A sigh. "Oh, fine."

Telinda looks at the flamethrower as Cassie speaks, then shakes her head. Not worth it. Not worth it at all. Hormone problems!

You walk toward the Weyrhall.

Haven beams proudly at the baby. "Who knows, maybe she will look just like me and remain quite the mystery! Either way, she's got three doting fathers who can't kiss her enough." She gives the baby a big smoochy kiss on her forehead, with brings out babyish giggles from the little bundle

Telinda hefts the flamethrower a little more awkwardly, dropping it onto the floor with a loud bang, and denting it, though another one or two in this old contraption is hardly noticable. Haven. Kyleen. Errg. She salutes one in a perfunctory manner and then nods to the other, tossing another scowl at Haven for good measure.

Tiarnath> Cassie glares after the weyrling, shaking her head. "Burn it all," she hisses. "A sharding SrWW that can't tell the difference between a gelding and a mare, and a junior that has the worst attitude problem I've ever seen." She throws up her hands. "That's it! I'm moving to the North."

Haven cocks the corner of her mouth a bit, wondering what the hell has gotten under Telinda's skin now. Not like /she/ flew K'laarns dragon last night. "Back aching yet, Tel?"

Tiarnath> R'kan frowns slightly, "Is that what you want?"

Kyleen jumps at the *bang!*, whirling in her seat to grin at Telinda.

Telinda ponders the question she's been asked, snorts a "No" and grabs herself some klah. "Why in Faranth's name I couldn't use my old one, least it only had a few dents" she comments, poking the 'thrower with a finger.

Kyleen scrunches her nose, mumbling something about K'lan.

Tiarnath> F'lan turns to look back at Cassie. "If you do, make very certain first it's what you want. Running away from problems is not the right solution. And some of us would like it alot more if you stayed here still."

Haven grins "Because this has a special nozzle so you don't bathe yourself in ageenotree, and has a larger storage tank so you can stay topside without having to refill."

Tiarnath> F'lan shrugs and turns and continues walking into the weyrhall.

F'lan strides over from the Landing Field.

Tiarnath> Cassie sighs.

Tiarnath> R'kan shifts, "Will you come with me?"

F'lan looks at Telinda as he walks in, "Just what *IS* your problem these days, Tel ?"

Tiarnath> Cassie runs a hand over her hair, smoothing it down. "Fine," she says in a defeated tone.

Tiarnath> R'kan grins warily.

Tiarnath> R'kan strides over to the Northern Weyrs.

Tiarnath> R'kan has left.

Telinda's eyes narrow as she looks across at that Haven-grin, snorting some more. "Thank you for your expert information" she remarks in a sarcastic tone, shoving up her sleeves of her blouse to start working on stripping the flamethrower down. In her mood, she forgets the bruise that whisps up and over her elbow, disappearing in the volumptious sleeve. "Huh?" she asks F'lan, and then, "Why does everyone seem so sharding well concerned with my fardling moods! Leave me _alone_!"

Haven picks up the baby and heads over to a rocking chair by the hearth, sitting down and settling the baby in her arms to nurse. She watches Telinda with intense scrutiny before noticing... "Tel...?"

Telinda ignores Haven's question, she's had enough of being told how irresponsible she is and all the rest of that Dragon poo. She unscrews the nozzle of the flamethrower and, holding it up to the light, peers though it, "No wonder the shafting thing didn't work! S'all clogged up!"

Tiarnath> Cassie strides over to the Northern Weyrs.

Haven gets up and drops the baby in Bertha's lap, striding across the hall in a few long steps. She reaches out for Telinda's arm, grasping at it with a firm hold.

F'lan snorts as he walks over to get himself some klah, "I don't see why you had to say that to Cassie just now. She's going through enough right now without some weyrling tossing remarks like that to her."

Kyleen chews on her underlip, and heads over to the fuming Telinda. "Can I help?" She asks tentiatively. "That looks heavy."

Telinda pokes her tongue out at F'lan, "Perhaps someone would like to consider what I'm going through! No, I forget, you're all so bloody knowledgeable.." she yelps as Haven grabs her arm and tries to tug it back, "Get your fardling hands off me!"

Haven holds firmly, not squeezing the bruise, but able to effectively hold the smaller woman's arm in place as she slides the sleeve up, examing the painfully dark bruise that covers a good bit of her elbow and upper arm. "Tel! What the...." She gives the weyrling a pained, disappointed look, then quickly reaches for her other arm.

Kyleen backs up a step, winching at the bruise. She sends a quick glance into the infirmary - then decides not to interfere.

F'lan blinks a bit as he's cut off as he's about to reply to Tel when he spots the bruise on her arm.

Telinda sees Haven reaching and immediately stretches her other arm out of reach, still struggling to retain control of the one in Haven's grasp. Eyes flash dangerously, "Get off me!" she cries out, accompanied by a loud bugle from outside.

F'lan walks quickly over to Tel and Haven, "Where you got that from ?" He turns to Haven, "Need help holding her ?"

Telinda's face is getting redder and redder, especially as F'lan's offering his assistance, "Don't even think about it" she says in a low, tightly controlled voice

Haven has had much to much experience with pinning down a struggling person, whether its from fighting practice or left over from having to fend from herself on the road. She quickly gives the arm she's grasping a quick turn, and Tel's body follows, twisting a bit like a rag doll. Slipping behind her, Haven grabs the other arm. The sleeve is pushed up to reveal several small bruises, but the tell tale yellows of a fading bruise on her elbow, matching the original pains Tiarnath complained of a few sevendays ago.

F'lan shakes his head at Telinda, "Sometime I hope you'll see that we care about you, and we only have your best in mind. But it's beyond me how we can help if you never let us know anything is wrong." He just turns and walks over to get himself a seat.

Telinda yelps as her arm is twisted painfully, thankfully retaining itself in its socket. Struggling, despite Haven's grip, she nonetheless remains helpless in the other woman's grasp, but makes up for it in the torrent of words that sound worse than normal for content! Something about a runner's ass?! Hrm! At a window, a golden head appears, followed by a piercing bugle. "Get _off_ me! You're upsetting Tia again!"

Kyleen looks wildly from Telinda and Haven's struggling to the gold head in the doorway. She doesn't look like she knows quite what to do.

Haven hisses at Telinda. "I'm doing this /for/ Tia... and You!" A quick tug at Tel's shirt's neckline and she sees just a few more bruises. Face red with sheer anger at teh weyrling, she tucks her shoulder down, and before TElinda can figure out what's going on, she's flipped over Haven's shoulder and headed to the infirmary.

Dragon> Tiarnath senses that Rialth warbles softly, soothingly << Pendrath's rider only wants to see whats wrong with your lifemate >>

Dragon> Pendrath bespoke Tiarnath with << Do not worry - my mate will make sure she will not get hurt again! >>

Telinda screams at the top of her lungs, and its pretty loud, she's been hollering at plenty of things in her life. Beating Haven on the back with repetitive thumps of both fists she squirms, trying to free herself, but having little luck, "You haven't a sharding clue! You have no idea how upset she's been lately!" she yells.

Haven maintains a stern face, clutching the squirming legs but not seeming to notice the pounding her backside is taking. "Damn well she's been upset, and I intend to put and end to that!"

Haven quietly opens the infirmary door and enters.

Tiarnath> Pendrath senses that Tiarnath bugles << She's hurting now! >>

Haven stops and puts Telinda down unceremoniously on an examing table. She waves away the journeyman on duty this afternoon. She crosses her arms and stares at the weyrling.

Tiarnath> Tiarnath snarls, tail lashing in the meadow dirt as she tries to observe the going's on in the weyrhall.

Dragon> Pendrath bespoke Tiarnath with << That will end soon! My mate will make sure of it! >>

Tiarnath> I bespoke Rialth with << I have yet to see her not hurting her >>

Telinda crosses her arms and stares back, snorting, face red, eyes narrowed. Seeing Haven standing back, she makes to jump off the table and make a quick exit.

Tiarnath> Baerth blinks and crooons.

Tiarnath> Pendrath senses that Tiarnath snorts << Your rider hurt her, several times. I don't believe! >>

Haven runs to block Telinda's exit, lurching out to grab or tackle the woman

Dragon> Pendrath bespoke Tiarnath with << She did /not/ hurt her! She was already hurt! My rider will stop her from getting hurt again >>

Dragon> Rialth bespoke Tiarnath with << She is wondering where the hurts is coming from. She is worried for her, and you. As are we all. >>

Telinda desperately tries to duck under Haven's arm, then seeing her escape route blocked she laughs, "Go back to your petty flirting and getting rid of all of my friends, Haven, tis what you do best after all" she replies.

Tiarnath> I bespoke Pendrath with << Next you'll be saying its my fault! >>

Haven grabs at Tel, not showing any reaction to her haughty words, though its hard to tell with her face all red and scrunched like that. She pushes Tel against a wall and hisses at her. "I suggest you get a hold of yourself or I'll have them tie you down to a cot, by the egg."

Dragon> Pendrath bespoke Tiarnath with << It is not your fault either, Tiarnath! >>

Elidi> >> F'lan finishes his klah and stretches a bit.

Telinda's eyes flash like the gems they resemble at Haven's words. Hands on hips, one slightly more forward than the other, she waits, face dark with anger, "They wouldn't dare!" she remarks

Haven gives Telinda an equally angry stare, pulling herself up the few inches she has on Telinda, and looking so much broader and stronger than she usually does. "They will be more than happy to restrain a /weyrling/ who's selfish, impetuous, dangerous behavior is risking the life of her dragon!" She hopes the last words sink in through Tel's thick skull. Her eyes keep Telinda's glare, "Who /did/ this to you?"

Telinda rubs her arm as she listens to Haven's dialogue, "Noone" she snorts, "Now, can I go and tend to Tia!?"

Tiarnath> Kaleum enters from the lush lakeside meadow.

Haven growls "NO!" She turns and kicks at a stool, sending it flying down the aisle. Oh, is that going to hurt later. "/Why/, Telinda?!" It all starts fitting together - her fearful comments about flying, her insistance that Tiarnath wasn't ready, the look in her eyes anytime Haven suggested training. "You know that I know that you are black and blue all over.... why did you /DO/ this?"

Tiarnath> Nevorth enters from the lush lakeside meadow.

Tiarnath> Kaleum walks toward the Weyrhall.

Elidi> >> F'lan Waves.

Elidi> >> Jamethiel comes in to the hall, looking around for a moment, beofre stepping in all the way.

Telinda calms a little, watching the Weyrsecond loose her temper and trying to hide the wry grin that threatens. My, nice to see what happens. "For you sharding information" she comments, "Tia is fine, if a little disconcerted with your actions over the past sevenday." She shrugs, turning her back and righting the chair, "I would consul you to mind your own business instead of poking your unwelcomed nose into mine." Temper bubbles under, restrained a little.

Haven grabs for Telinda's wrist, turning her to face her. 'TElinda! I'm doing this because I care about you, and Tiarnath!' Anger is replaced by genuine concern and worry. "I don't give a damn about K'laarn, and you can go kiss him for all you want - see if I care! I'm worried that you would actually injure yourself to keep Tiarnath grounded..." She searches your face for an answer. "Why?"

Elidi> >> Kaleum waves and snags a wine skin, sitting next to F'lan and Jame.

Elidi> >> Jamethiel isn't sitting yet. In fact she's darting looks infrimery-way.

Telinda frowns, looking down at that hand grasping her wrist. Temper looses its battle and boils over in an outstretched palm that flies to connect with Haven's cheek. "I never could sharding understand your fardling reasoning! One minute I'm the wher's backside, the next you couldn't give a damn!"

Elidi> >> F'lan blinks at the healers and wonders what the shards is going on inside there.

Tiarnath> Raen enters from the lush lakeside meadow.

Tiarnath> Nevorth whuffles a greeting.

Elidi> >> Jamethiel blinks again, as a scared 'prentice runs past her, out the door. "Who is that, anyway?"

Elidi> >> Raen says "Hello."

Elidi> >> Kaleum looks over from watching the running apprentice and notices Raen walking over. "Hello."

Elidi> >> Raen smiles. "Told you I'd be back."

Elidi> >> Jamethiel glances up, "Uhm. Hi."

Haven holds still as the hand makes contact. She deserves more than that for the past few sevendays. She tries to remain calm and can only think of one way to do so, picking up the stool and sending it hurling out the doors into the hall. That felt mildly better. She turns slowly and looks at Telinda, speaking in a calm voice. "You know I've /always/ cared about you, Telinda. K'laarn wasn't about you, it was him and me exchanging insults. I told youthat already and I'll say I'm sorry again." She squints her eyes a bit, "But I won't stand still and let you injure yourself to keep Tia grounded!"

Elidi> >> Kaleum nods and smiles. "And so you are."

Elidi> >> An apprentice runs out, blanched white and looking a little concerned, "Don't go in there" he comments, "Worse than fall aftermath!"

Elidi> >> Raen chuckles softly.

Elidi> >> Jamethiel blinks, as the 'prentice runs past. She calls out, "Who's doing all the shouting?"

Elidi> >> The Apprentice shudders, jumping as a stool follows him out, "T'Weyrsecond and t'new weyrwoman!"

Elidi> Antigone chuurs restlessly, eyes flickering red every now and then

Elidi> >> Jamethiel /blinks/ looking at the door. Oh. Great.

Dragon> Tiarnath senses that Pendrath Crooons in a soft tone, eyes glimmering white every now and then << She does not want your mate to hurt anymore... she is worried about her >>

Elidi> >> Raen looks concerned. "What's going on?"

Elidi> >> F'lan says "Haven and Telinda are arguing."

Telinda laughs, its a sound not of merriment, but of complete derision, "If you didn't sharding care about K'laarn and me, why did you have to exacerbate it last night?! Hrm? Oh no" she shakes her head, tapping her foot against the floor, "You had to make it worse, and to top it all.." she stops, eyes closing briefly and turning away. A moments pause and a broom follows the stool into the hall.

Elidi> >> The things are coming out fast -- a broom follows the stool, accompanied by alot more hollering and shouting

Elidi> >> Raen steadies herself as paraphernalia fly.

Haven growls "Fardling wench! Hexenth was rising - I didn't even know what was going on! I hardly rememm...." She stops mid word, finally putting it all together. "Tel... you're afraid of her rising?"

Telinda shakes her head to Haven's question. She's not going to even think she heard that word, not really! She looks around, picking up a metal tray used to sterilise instruments and tosses it at the Weyrsecond, looking around for more things to follow it.

Elidi> >> Raen quietly opens the infirmary door and enters.

Elidi> >> F'lan gets up and waves, "Got to go."

Haven dunks as the tray comes her way. "Shardit, Telinda... you can't make her not rise to mate by not teaching her to fly!" Another twist to the side as another stool heads her way.

Elidi> >> F'lan walks toward the Landing Field.

Tiarnath> F'lan walks over and gives Rialth a soft scritch in passing, casting a glance over at Tiarnath.

Raen quietly steps out into the main hall.

Telinda yells out, "Oh yes I sharding well can!" she says, puncuating the words with another article, this time a pile of towels, being tossed at Haven

Tiarnath> F'lan strides over to the Northern Weyrs.

Haven twists, and gets bombarded by the towels. She steps over them as they fall to the ground and lurches to tackle the mad woman, hoping to get her under control

Elidi> >> Raen pours herself a cup of D'val's klah.

Elidi> >> Raen sips the warm liquid.

Telinda dodges out of the way of Haven, but trips over something she'd tossed down onto the floor in digust, ending up toppling over with a loud crash in a heap of glass, metal, wood, to the floor.

Haven lands on a cot and quickly rolls off, intending to pin down Telinda in her fit, but instead pulling her into her arms, worried she's injured herself

Elidi> >> A loud crash of glass, metal and wood is heard from the infirmary, sounding like a dragon just tried to squeeze in there.

Elidi> >> Jamethiel winces slightly, then looks at the riders, "Why are they fighting?" or do I even want to know....

Elidi> >> Raen shrugs. "I'm new to the place."

Elidi> >> Raen says "I saw Telinda yesterday though, and she didn't look happy THEN. Let's just say I heard a lot of, ah-hem, *descriptive* language and the name Haven spoken in the same breath."

Elidi> >> Raen smiles slightly.

Telinda lifts a hand, wiping something away from her eyes. On pulling back her hand she discovers its covered in blood, "Oh shards, now look what I've done!" she snorts, gingerly moving and trying not to break anything else. She shakes her arm, "Fardling thing is numb as anything." Glaring at Haven, she struggles to her feet.

Elidi> >> Jamethiel blinks, and tilts her head at the other new person. "Before or.... <slight blush> after the flight?"

Elidi> >> Raen says "Since I don't know anything about a flight, I suppose after."

Haven calls out for the Journeyman, who scurries over, muttering about out outlandish behaviour and he's going to report this, by the egg. Haven backs off a bit to give the journeyman room. "Shells..." she mutters softly. "Oh, Telinda!" and covers her mouth, looking at the blood

Elidi> >> Jamethiel blinks. "Oh."

Elidi> >> Raen brows contract in concern and curiousity. "Why? What happened? That is...if you can tell me."

Telinda wipes at the eye a little more and flicks the blood off her hand, which unfortunately heads towards the journeyman. She flashes him an apologetic smile and then shakes her arm again. Shards. "Its nothing" she remarks to Haven

Elidi> >> Jamethiel blinks at Raen. "Wh...oh, uhm. Hexelth rose yesterday, I think..." then shrugs.

Elidi> >> Raen says "I'm VERY new, I don't even know who Hexelth IS.""

Elidi> >> "M'ren's green."

Elidi> >> Raen says "Ahh, I see."

Elidi> >> Jamethiel shrugs, watching and listening to the infrimery.

Haven gulps and watches the journeyman clean Telinda's hand, snorting that he's the one that makes decisions about how bad an injury is, and don't you two think for a moment you're leaving /my/ infirmary in this state. The weyrsecond gulps and says in a much softer tone. "Telinda... I've never meant to hurt you. Not now, not K'laarn... Don't you know I'm worried about you?"

Telinda shoo's at the Journeyman, wiping her eye and getting more blood on her hand. The journeyman rolls his eyes and dabs at the cut over Telinda's eye, batting her hand away as she, as always, tries to interfere. Glancing up, with only a faint pink streak running down her face, she looks at Haven for a moment. "There's nothing to worry about" she replies in something akin to her normal tone, cradling her arm in one hand

Haven shakes her head. "Don't lie like that Telinda. You're injuring yourself and if you don't stop it yourself, I'll have Kylric here to tie you down to a cot in here himself. Don't for a moment think I won't report this to R'lien and Eliora. I can't stand by and let you hurt youself!"

Telinda goes completely white, colour draining from her face, "NO," she replies in a tone of horror, "Don't tell them!"

Haven grinds her teeth. "Then let me help you!"

Elidi> >> Kaleum quietly opens the infirmary door and enters.

Kaleum peeks in to see if things are still flying.

Telinda lets her shoulder drop as she lets go of her arm and wriggles her shoulder a little, wincing somewhat at the pain radiating from the joint. Reluctantly, she lets the Journeyman examine her arm, eyes closing as she bites her lip to his adminstrations, "How, nothing, noone can!" she replies to Haven.

Haven sighs. "Telinda, stop being a fool over this! Talk to me, yell at me, ask me for help! You're hurting yourself, /and you're hurting Tiarnath/! I can't stand by and do nothing"

Telinda's gaze flickers to include Kaleum. Then she yells out at a sudden wrench from the Healer. "What the..?" she says, staring at him. He shrugs apologitcally and waggles a finger, "Rest it and numb it!" then gets out of the way. Sighing, and wriggling in discomfort, Telinda glances to Haven, "I can't" she responds, "Never have."

Kaleum leans against the door her eyes full of concern for Telinda.

Haven makes a scoffing noise, hands going to her hips. "Then you leave me no choice, Telinda. If you're going to hate me over K'laarn winning M'ren's flight, then I might as well make sure you hate me for life." She turns on her heel and strides out like a woman with a purpose.

Kaleum moves away from the door, continuing to watch Telinda and Haven.

Telinda stretches out her arm, a pleading sort of gesture, wincing at the pain floods through once more, "Wait!" she yells out. "Shaffit all! How am I supposed to ask when I don't know how?!"

Haven stops and turns. "Then just say you don't know what's going on and we'll figure it out from there!"

Telinda's temper starts bubbling again, restrained but only just barely, "All right, I'm scared as sharding heck and no, I don't want her to fly or rise or anything else that I don't have control over, OK? Is that enough!?" she shouts out, foot starting to stamp again, "I wish I'd never impressed her! She'd have been better off with someone more docile!"

Kaleum is stunned by Telinda's words, "You don't mean that, your just having a really tough time."

Haven nods slowly, voice remaining calm. This is a good start. "You knew it wouldn't be easy, Telinda, and yes, its scary. When I impressed Pendrath..." she gulps slowly. "Lets just say, I almost made our first trip between our last." She glares at Kaleum, cold and hard.

Telinda nods to Kaleum, "Oh, I mean it!" she calls out and then to Haven, "I never knew a thing! Candidacy does not prepare you for, for this!" she stutters. "Even three times through it I never had a whiff of this mess!:

Kaleum nods, thinking carefully about Telinda's words and finding truth within them.

Haven sighs "We can't teach you everything you need to be ready for, but joining your mind... your soul.. with another is not an easy process, Telinda. You /aren't/ the first person to have problems like this - to resent what's happening, and feel out of control, and not knowing what to do." Her words ring true, as though she knows exactly from experience how Telinda feels

Telinda nods, "That may or may not be true" she admits in a harsh, grudging tone, "But it doesn't help me any! Not like I've not enough to worry about, K'laarn finally decides how to feel about me and wants to fardling well weyrmate!" she snorts, letting that gem slip.

Kaleum shrugs her shoulders, "We've all been feeling things and going through different things with our dragons, I understand how you feel, I feel some of it also. I find it scary, never having been with anyone and then losing all control."

Haven sighs and nods. "K'laarn will wait for you, Tel, as long as it takes. Don't worry over him now." She moves slowly closer to the weyrwoman. "But I can assure you, that I felt the same way with Pendrath... and now? I wouldn't trade a single... foul mood before a flight, or a badly played out flirt because Hexenth was proddy. Not for anything."

Telinda snorts, "He can wait all he wants. I won't weyrmate to him when he's living in another weyr and _especially_ after, well, you know!" Rubbing her shoulder unconsciously, she nods to Kaleum, "Oh I know" she says in a sympathetic tone to her fellow weyrling

Kaleum nods at Telinda and shuffles her feet.

Haven leans down and starts staightening a stool here, and cot there, and picking up the towels. "I can't give you answers, Telinda, but you can always come talk to me. I'll listen and who knows... maybe I'll understand."

Kaleum nods, "Goes for me too Tel, I don't know anything, but we are both in this together."

Telinda gives a half hearted shrug, "I doubt it" she comments to Haven, "Can I go now?" she asks, giving a little nod of acknowledgement to Kaleum.

Haven snorts softly, "Well, except the bit about K'laarn wanting to weyrmate. I can't seem to get anyone to stay,

Haven looks up at Telinda, rather the stern weyrsecond for a moment. "Tia /must/ start flight training, Telinda. If I suspect this again, I won't hesitate to take this to the next step."

Telinda wrinkles her nose, flexing her shoulder, "How soon?" she asks in a semi-subdued tone

Haven looks over Telinda's injury. "Two days. No excuses."

Telinda snorts, "None?" she asks

Haven mutters, "None, or I'll personally come and put my own bruises on you." She uprights a stool. "And don't worry about me sending off, K'laarn again." Although the last thing she needs is for Rnayth to have a reason to come and curl up next to Hexenth. "Unless you want me to send him off."

Kaleum shifts from foot to foot feeling somewhat anxious about the conflict.

Telinda nods, snuffling a little, "He won't be back" she mumbles, though its still clear. "Tia will be ready to fly when you ask."

Haven nods to Telinda, putting up the last tray. She quietly turns and leaves.

Haven quietly steps out into the main hall.

Kaleum shifts her feet again. "Oh Tel, I'm sorry to hear about K'laarn. Then stomps her foot, these male riders."

Telinda wrinkles her nose, "Its a long, long story" she admits

Kaleum nods, and thinks of something appropriate to say. "Maybe it's just harder for those who are hall bred."

Telinda shrugs, "Perhaps, perhaps not. All I know is he admitted his feelings after nearly six turns and now I can't do anything about it!"

Kaleum nods and frowns feeling the sadness in Telinda's words.

Telinda sighs, "How about you, any massive love affairs in your past?"

Kaleum laughs, "No, never found anyone who was interested in me and me in them."

Telinda nods, "Relationships are more hassle than they are worth!"

Kaleum nods in agreement. "But I've always wanted that home thing, but I guess it's not for me, I think other people are lucky that way and it would be nice to have someone waiting for you, but now I have Nev."

Telinda smiles, "There is that, indeed. But Haven and M'ren have each other even if they act a little odd!"

Kaleum sighs, "Yes, and they have Maddy."

Telinda grins and reaches over to pat Kaleum on the arm, "See, you can still have that as well!"

Kaleum returns a smile, "I guess eventually it might happen."

Telinda nods, "Eventually, Nevorth might catch some nice little green!"

Kaleum smirks, "I just hope the rider is male, I won't have a clue as to what to do otherwise."

Telinda nods, "Thats true. You've likely got more in that way that I. After all, there aren't that many female brown riders and no female bronze riders!:

Kaleum frowns, shifting her feet, "Yea, thats what I think about, especially lately the older Nev gets the more likely something will happen soon. It worries me sometimes, like I will somehow hamper Nev because I will be um, you know, it would be my first time."

Telinda sighs, looking down at her hands, "You won't be the first Kaleum, it'd be my first too. K'laarn's asked if we could do _it_ beforehand, but I don't know."

Kaleum nods, "I've thought about just finding someone and doing the physical thing so I would know, before I got caught up in it with Nev, but I guess I don't have the guts but I'm still scarered about waiting." Kaleum shrugs her shoulders and sighs.

Telinda grins, "How about we be scared together?" she suggests

Kaleum laughs and grins at Telinda, "Good idea."

Telinda smiles, "It might help. might not, but it can't hurt to try!"

Kaleum nods and grins. "I think I'mready for some of that good southern wine."

Telinda laughs, "You'd best go see if they left any after last night's flight!"

Kaleum smiles, "Guess I'd better check." and heads out of the infirmiary.
